Is a BIG BIG thing in Koala Land. I can only think of the Japanese Adult Induction Ceremony that can equal the greatness and importance of this event. Honestly I don't even remember what I did for my 21st. I only remembered I asked for a gold ring instead of the traditional gold key. In my 21 year old egoistic mind, I have already been doing what I want to do. Don't need a key for that. However the now 30-ish me thought it would be good to look back at something unique that symbolizes that particular phase in my life. Guess we all think too much of ourselves when we were young. Anyway, the gold ring's still around though my fingers are too fat for it now.
Today is my Cousin Brother's 21st. He doesn't read this blog but I will still wish him Happy Birthday here. We went to a quiet cafe restaurant for our family celebration. Birthday cake was apple crumble - his favorite. This coming Saturday will be his 21st birthday celebration with proper invitation cards and speeches from a few select people.
Thinking back I realize we did not blow candles and made customary birthday wishes with that apple crumble. Oh well there will be a proper cake during his big birthday celebration.
